Three people from DEFROST (Quentin, Yinoussa and Paul) took part in this year’s RIC event on Friday 7 October. The aim of the day was for Cristal’s research teams to present their research activities to master and bachelor students. Paul gave a demonstration of his pneumatic flexible robot segment, controlled via SOFA. In addition to this, samples of the Tripod robot and the Heart Phantom were on display for the students to look at and touch.
The day was filled with lots of interaction. In particular, many students came to ask what kind of skills flexible robotics requires, and what kind of internships the team offers in software development or more generally in computer science. Future DEFROST members?
